What Are Some Good Resources In ‘Psychology of Success’ and Sports Psychology?
Articles and Speaks
I would recommend the following speaks in ‘success’ topic:
Richard St. John – 8 Secrets of success
Why do people succeed? Is it because they’re smart? Or are they just lucky? Neither.
Simon Sinek – How great leaders inspire action
Simon Sinek has a simple but powerful model for inspirational leadership — starting with a golden circle and the question “Why?”
Arnold Schwarzenegger – 6 rules for success
I have always lived and competed by my own rules. I was told “you can’t” over and over again as I chased ambitious goals in bodybuilding, in movies, and in public politics. I faced doubt and distractions, and I managed to shove them out of my way.
I would definitely recommend Nick Vujicic speaks like Never give up, which changes the way you think about life. Yes, to understand success you should first understand your ‘limits’ and why they do not exist.
In a way I love the Timothy Gallwey’s book Inner Game of Tennis which introduces a completely different approach how to play tennis ‘perfectly’, the book is a must read sports psychology book.
My other favorite book is the Peaceful Warrior written by Dan Millman, which teaches that success isn’t a goal. Success alone means nothing, it is more important how you get there.
There are more traditional books laser focusing on ‘Success’, one of the best amongst them is Mindset: The New Psychology of Success.
Authors never like to recommend their own works, but truth to be told I also wrote a book about this topic the book’s name is The Invisible Game.
